Cigar Strength 101
Part 3 of 4

Continuing our discussion on Cigar Strength, we turn our focus to medium strength cigars.

Strength Profiles

Medium Strength Cigars
Medium-strength cigars have a higher nicotine content and fall somewhere between slight and stout. These cigars are a touch stronger than their milder counterparts and offer a bit more spice and nicotine sensations in the smoking experience.

A medium-strength cigar pairs perfectly with a nice cocktail to settle down your night, or cup of coffee to begin your day.

While medium-strength cigars can still have a touch of sweetness, they tend to introduce hints of spice, wood, and earthiness. Their strength provides a high intensity of sensation providing a nice complexity to the flavor and strength of the cigar.

It is important to note that you should take your time smoking a medium-strength cigar for the first time, to ensure that you do not overwhelm your palate. Smoking a medium strength cigar too quickly can result in you becoming nauseous, turning green. If this happens, don’t worry. You should give the same cigar a second chance after a bigger meal and space out the time between each draw to lower the impact of the strength on you.

Stay smoky friends!
